That is our philosophy, not just empty theory, but the result of decades in the hard school of international motorsport. This unique competence and experience, in addition to intensive cooperation with the technological leaders Audi and VW, will keep us moving in the future as well.

History

Abt's story starts with the foundation of a smithy - and with a good idea: Johann Abt develops a device with which horse carriages are prepared for the cold Bavarian winters. Due to this concept, business and individuals are able to avoid having to buy expensive sledges. The first cars which are more like carriages driven by an engine are also repaired by the smith. The company grows with the trend-setting technology and more than eight decades ago, first contact is established with the brands of later Auto Union. The co-operation with the four rings proves to be a long term relationship and is maintained until today.

2006 is the year when Abt celebrates its 110th company anniversary. So far, four generations of the family from Kempten have put their heart and soul into the development of the enterprise. Right from the start automobiles have been their keen passion. The anniversary shows that tradition is very important for Abt but future trends are equally significant. This is the only way to keep on the road to success and expand continuously over such a long period of time.

A car of Abt Sportsline is characterised by several factors: Beside considerably more power against the serial model and the guaranteed and reliable high-end performance, a matching brake system is part of the fast sports cars from Kempten. Abt brakes decelerate precisely and complement the additional power optimally. The brake systems of Abt Sportsline manage every situation and are biting tools when required. Their outstanding qualities are not only available for cars which have been upgraded in power by the Bavarians, the brake systems also offer “normal“ Volkswagen or Audi models additional safety.
